Make Saving Easy with Savings Jar!*
It’s easy to save money each month when you enroll in Savings Jar, a savings round-up program. Every time you use your ILWU Credit Union Visa Debit Card, your purchase will be rounded up to the nearest dollar and automatically deposited into your Savings account. You also have the option to donate your rounded up funds to a local ILWU charity.
At the end of each day, the total amount of your round-up purchases will be transferred to your Savings account or to the ILWU charity you selected.**
It’s just like the traditional savings jar you used to have at home, without having to carry around your extra change all day.
Over time, small amounts can add up to big savings! There are no fees to participate, and the savings are yours to keep or donate to a local charity. If you change your mind and need to stop rounding-up, you can opt-out at any time.
It’s easy to get started:
1. Simply enroll in Savings Jar within Online Banking or the Mobile App
2. Use your IWLU Credit Union debit card for all your in person and online purchases
3. Watch your savings grow every day!

*To enroll in Savings Jar, you must have an ILWU Credit Union Checking Account with Visa Debit Card access. **If on any given day your Checking account does not have sufficient available funds to round-up, or if any transaction has overdrawn your Checking account, ILWU Credit Union will not round-up purchases posted on that day. Transfers will resume the following day, or on the next day that sufficient funds are available. ATM transactions are not included in the round-up program.
